We are a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping women across Africa by making child birth safe. We support local communities, providing information to keep mothers and babies healthy, as well as excellent medical care and training to ensure safer deliveries. We also treat birth-induced injury such as obstetric fistula. To be successful in this role, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. You should also be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations.

Job Responsibilities

 Patients Data Entry Receive all patients arriving at the hospital in office hours. Provide a file with initial patient information for every new admission to the ward or patients being seen in Gynecologist clinic Collect the files of discharged patients from the ward, and enter all relevant data in the Data base Maintain order and a good filing system of all patient files Direct patients to the appropriate department when they arrive Keep good records of all ANC patient numbers
 Take and relay messages
 Provide information to callers
 Greet persons entering hospital
 Direct persons to correct destination
 Ensure knowledge of staff movements in and out of hospital
 Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness
 Provide general administrative and clerical support
 Schedule clinical appointments
 Control inventory relevant to reception area
 tidy and maintain the reception area Perform any other duties as directed by the supervisor

Qualifications and Requirements

 Minimum of a Diploma in Administration or Recognised Secretarial Certificate
 knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
 knowledge of computers and relevant software application
 knowledge of customer service principles and practices
 verbal and written communication skills
 professional personal presentation
 organizing and planning Skills
